Virtualization Infrastructure Security Maintenance
CompletedMaintenance10 hours 15 minutes
  • CompletedOctober 20, 2026 at 20:48UTC

We are pleased to inform you that the security updates to our virtualization infrastructure have been successfully completed.

All affected services are now operating normally, and the necessary security patches have been applied.

  • PlannedOctober 20, 2026 at 10:30UTC

To ensure the security and reliability of our services, we will perform scheduled maintenance on the Friendhosting virtualization infrastructure.

During this maintenance, we will apply security updates addressing the critical Linux kernel vulnerability CVE-2026-99999.

Affected services: Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS).

The maintenance will require reboots of the physical virtualization hosts, resulting in brief interruptions to the VDS instances running on them.

The expected downtime for each affected VDS is approximately 20–30 minutes. Server reboots will be performed gradually throughout the maintenance window.

Please note that the maintenance window does not represent continuous service downtime.

Updates on the progress of the maintenance and any changes will be published on this status page.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Kyiv, Ukraine Data Center Outage
ResolvedMajor outage61 hours 45 minutes
  • ResolvedUTC

The restoration of VDS from backups at the Telepoint data center in Sofia, Bulgaria has been completed. All VDS for which backups were available have been restored and brought online at the new location. IP addresses have not changed.

For a small number of VDS that were ordered and created between the most recent backup and the attack on the Kyiv data center, no backups were available. For these orders, we have created new VDS with the same IP addresses. Unfortunately, the data from these servers cannot be restored from backup.

We ask all customers to check the operation of their VDS and the services hosted on them. If your server is unavailable or you experience any issues after the recovery, please contact our technical support team.

In recent days, a number of data centers and other infrastructure facilities in Ukraine have been attacked and sustained significant damage. Given the current situation and the high risk of similar incidents occurring again, we have decided to suspend the provision of services in Ukraine until active hostilities have ended.

The main infrastructure recovery process is now complete.

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this incident.

  • UpdateUTC

According to the latest information we have received, the technical infrastructure of the Kyiv data center has sustained significant damage. At this time, there is no certainty that the facility can resume operations in the foreseeable future.

Given the extent of the damage and the continuing risk of further attacks on infrastructure in Ukraine, we have decided not to wait for the Kyiv facility to be restored.

We have already started restoring VDS from available backups at the Telepoint data center in Sofia, Bulgaria. The recovery is being carried out in stages and, due to the large volume of data and the number of affected VDS, will take some time.

VDS IP addresses will remain unchanged after recovery.

We will continue to publish updates on the recovery process as part of this incident.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • UpdateUTC

The data center team is currently assessing the extent of damage to the technical infrastructure.

The results of this assessment will determine whether the affected infrastructure can be restored and when the data center may be able to resume operations.

At this stage, we still cannot provide an estimated restoration time.

We will publish another update as soon as we receive confirmed information from the data center.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • UpdateUTC

Unfortunately, the situation remains unchanged and the Kyiv data center is still offline.

Work at the site is currently being carried out by emergency and government services. Until their work is completed and the data center staff are able to fully assess the situation, it is not possible to determine when the infrastructure can be brought back online.

At this moment, we therefore cannot provide an estimated restoration time.

We remain in contact with the data center and will update this incident immediately once we receive confirmed information about the situation or the recovery process.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • InvestigatingUTC

Our data center location in Kyiv, Ukraine, has been unavailable since 11:10 EEST (08:10 UTC) on September 23 due to the consequences of a Russian attack in the area where the data center is located.

For safety reasons, infrastructure equipment at the data center has been powered off.

According to preliminary information from the data center staff, the equipment does not appear to have sustained any damage. However, there is currently no estimated time for power restoration and bringing the affected services back online.

Unfortunately, under the current circumstances, we are unable to provide even an approximate timeframe for service restoration.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and remain in contact with the data center staff. Further information will be published on our Status Page as soon as it becomes available.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
